Muffet was the first Pekingese I owned, bought as a seven week old puppy from a couple who owned both parents and wanted "just one litter". My mom had passed away and I wanted a companion to ease the loneliness. Muffet certainly did that. From the first day, she won me over completely. She was small, black with tan and white markings and had all the traits associated with the Pekingese breed. She was loving, loyal, stubborn, aggressive at times, afraid of NOTHING and could "beg" for hours. She was an excellent watchdog and also got along with the Collie and Bassett Hound we had at the time. |
in our hometown. Her gravestone was bought for her by her "daddy", Larry. She converted him just as she did everyone who knew her. All the Pekes of PEKEHAVEN are here because of her. Her sire sire was St. Aubrey of Caversham and her dam was Chinatown Chelsea. We named a new puppy, Muffi, in honor of Muffet. |
