Walking along with the sun on my face, thinking of another time, another day, another place. My hands in my pocket, thrust way down deep, my mind is a whirl, my thoughts just won't keep. So, I look at the sun blazing shiny & bright, you wouldn't know my life wasn't right. People all over are staring at me, lock me in a room, throw away the key. The times passes fast, sometimes very slow, it doesn't seem I have the time to grow. As I cross over a long metal bridge, I look upon an outlying ridge. I see some cows grazing on green land, some silky white horses, looking so grand. A farmer & his wife carrying some milk, across a field that looks more like silk. As I came to a crossing, a fork in the road, I see a sign that bears some sort of code. I look at the sky, so clear & blue, I look at the grass, still wet with dew. On my way, back to my home, I think I'll sit down & write me a poem. Walking along with the sun on my face, thinking of another time, another day, another place.
