Purebreds



Disclaimer: A cat is listed in the "Purebred" section because the information from the shelter holding him or her indicates that he/she is of a certain breed. This may mean that the cat came in with papers - more likely it just means that the former owner stated that the cat was such and such a breed, or the shelter employees used their judgement based on the cat's appearance and personality. I cannot be held liable for the true ancestry of any cat listed here, but of course you'd never be such a jerk as to sue me, anyway.


Angora


Jasmine: A two yr old female with a white chin. Came in with Priscilla, a black shorthair, and a white Angora named Shamika. They are all at Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury, Massachusets.


Bombay:


Sophie: A three yr old female, friendly but not a lap cat. Sophie is at Second Chance Companions in southwest Washington State/ Portland.


British Shorthair:


Xena: A three yr old female. She should be an only cat and in a home without young children, since she sometimes bites in play. She is good about using her scratching post. Xena is at R.E.S.C.U.E. in Phoenix, Arizona.


Devon Rex:


Photofaces Fala: A two yr old female, registered with the CFA. Shy girl. Needs a dogless home. Fala resides in West Palm Beach, FL, and can be adopted through Retired Friends


Exotic:


Horatio: An adult male, living as number 45171 at the Oregon Humane Society in Portland, Oregon.

McPuddy Mahalia: A four yr old female, registered with the CFA. Hallie is a very playful cat with Copper-colored eyes and a shiny coat. She is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York and can be adopted through Retired Friends


Manx:


Merlin: A one or two yr old male, very friendly and outgoing, wants to be an only cat. Merlin is waiting for you at Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Kitten 1399: A female kitten with a white chest and toes. Was born at the shelter, so she should be very well socialized. Kitten 1399 is at Pets and Pals in Lathrop, California.

Belle: An eight yr old female. Belle is a Siamese/ Manx mix - a weird combo, to be sure, but she's a shy, wide-eyed lady who just wants a little love like any other goth cat. She needs be adopted with her brother, Thomas P. Trojan, an eight yr old male snowshoe Siamese. They are both in Kansas and available through Siamese Rescue

Anna: A six yr old female, quiet, good with children and other cats. Anna is waiting for her new home at the Humane Society of Seattle/ King County in Seattle

Mr. Zippy: A ten yr old male. He is FIV+ and so needs to be an only cat or with other FIV+ cats. He is also blind in one eye. Sounds like a lot of problems - but if you adopt him you will get a very sensitive and 'wise' cat. Mr. Zippy is staying at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.

Sorry: A one and a half yr old male. Good with kids and dogs, friendly and lovable. Sorry can be adopted through Pets in Need, Redwood City, California.

Kabelkim Krispix: A three yr old female, registered with the CFA, friendly and loving. Krisp is located in Hudsonville, Michigan and can be adopted through Retired Friends


Oriental Shorthair:


Scarlett: A two yr old female, spayed, needs to be an only pet. She came all the way from Japan and is now at Animal Rescue League in Bend, Oregon, waiting for a new home.

Blackie: A male kitten, fostered in Gun Barrel City, Texas. Can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

Bobbie Sue: Blackie's sister, also in Gun Barrel City, Texas. Can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

Billie Jean: Sister to Blackie and Bobby Sue, and she, too, is in Gun Barrel City, Texas. Yeesh. Doesn't sound like a safe place for goth kitties to me. Get in contact with Siamese Rescue to rescue one or all of them.

Spooky: A two or three yr old male, very friendly, used to being handled, talkative. Spooky is hanging out in Goodyear, Arizona and can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

Sundae: A seven month old male kitten, sweet and active. Sundae is hanging out in Borger, Texas, and can be adopted through Siamese Rescue after the holidays.

Midnight: A one yr old female, green-eyed, long and thin. She is very agile and playful, also affectionate. Midnight is being fostered in Austin, Texas and can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

Licorice: A one yr old male, very playful and active. Licorice is being fostered in Borger, Texas and can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

GP Celestecats Licorice: A two yr old male, registered with the CFA, loving and playful, show quality. Licorice lives in Los Angeles, CA, and can be adopted through Retired Friends

Ch Mitsumews Diabolique of El-Dia: Lilly to her friends. A four yr old female, outgoing lap-cat. Registered with the CFA. Good with other pets, but needs a home with no children under five. She is currently in Southeastern Michigan. She can be adopted through Retired Friends


Persian:


Hershey and Cadbury: A pair of males, four and five yrs old. They are golden-eyed, very loving, and must be adopted together. Hershey and Cadbury are waiting for you at The Society of Humane Friends in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Kitty: Kitty doesn't belong here. She's not black at all; she's a blue-cream calico. But she comes with a black shorthaired male cat named Beau who is her best friend, and she's riding on his coattails. Kitty and Beau are both affectionate, mellow cats who would do best in a home without young children. They are napping at Citizens for Animal Protection in Houston, Texas, until they find a new home together.

Tico: A five yr old male. Good with kids. Loves to be brushed. Tico is at Second Chance Companions in southwest Washington State/ Portland.

Le Chat Paws Ebony: A seven month old male, very loyal and affectionate, clean and playful, registered with the CFA. He was born with an umbilical hernia, but this does not affect his present health or life expectancy. Ebony is now living in Miami, FL, and can be adopted through Retired Friends

GC RW Aladar's Notorious: Bonnie for short. A seven yr old female, former champion, needs a home with no young children or other pets. Bonnie is currently in southern Mississippi, and can be adopted through Retired Friends


Siamese Mix:

Obviously, purebred Siamese don't come in black. But their mixed breed babies do, and still tend to retain that distintive Siamese build, personality, and voice.

Lucy2: It looks like I was wrong, folks. Lucy2 is a Siamese, and she is black. Her head is slightly lighter, so that her points show. Very pretty cat, gorgeous blue eyes, and very affectionate. Lucy2 is in Flower Mound, Texas, and can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

Queen: An adult female mix, friendly, talkative and laid-back. Queen was thrown from a car with her son Quinn and ended up at Marlee Animal Rescue in North Berwick, Maine.

Quinn: A ten month old male mix, friendly and outgoing, would do well with an active family. Quinn was thrown from a car with his mother Queen and ended up at Marlee Animal Rescue in North Berwick, Maine.

Rose: A one yr old female mix. Talkative and loving. Rose is at Dreampower Animal Rescue Foundation in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Spooky: An eight week old male, will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. Is in Kansas. Can be adopted through Siamese Rescue

Spider: An eight week old female, will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. Currently in Kansas. Can be adopted through Siamese Rescue
