Fanconi Test Now Available for Your Basenji
This has been a long awaited test that is finally available. For more information on how you can get your basenji tested for fanconi please go to the Canine Phenome Website.

Richard and I got our first basenji in 1974......for my birthday....I wanted a poodle.....but he wanted a basenji. I asked what in the world was a basenji? So, we found a basenji that was available and paid $35.00 for him. He had been returned to his breeder and the breeder just wanted to find a good home for him. So Brandy was my first experience with a basenji.......and I was hooked.

We got involved with the basenjis with lure coursing, not too long after they were admitted to the ASFA lure coursing program. Lure coursing is what I enjoy doing with the basenjis most. Second came conformation shows and that's okay, but I truly enjoy watching the hounds doing what they do best....RUN.
