We've created this page to remember our special friends that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. | ||||||||||
February 2009: On February 7, we had to make the heartwrenching decision to help Solo (Can. Ch. Aktiv's Nordic Soliloquy) across the Rainbow Bridge. As with all of our dogs, Solo left us with a better understanding of bouviers and dog behaviour. Solo was the only surviving puppy in her litter and taught us what it was like to live with a singleton. She loved people (other dogs was a different matter) and believed that all visitors to our house were there to see her. We miss her greatly. March 2005: On March 21, we made the decision to help our old girl Myska (Can. Ch. Zynkas Abel Masked Myska CD HCT) across the Rainbow Bridge. To the very end, Myska showed us her determination and independence as she fought her battle with cancer and refused our help when she became too weak to stand. Myska was our first bouvier and she taught us alot about the breed and dogs. She introduced us to dog shows, obedience, herding and agility. She also helped us meet many of the people that have now become part of our extended family. We were very fortunate to have Myska in our lives for 12 years, but it doesn't seem long enough. July 2004: After a long battle with cancer, we lost our buddy Granite (Can. Am. Int. Ch. Barbu's Simon Sez Let's Rock CD HCT) at the young age of 10 1/2. Granite was our second bouvier and was loved by all who knew him for his great temperament and happy personality. Granite played at conformation, obedience, schutzhund and herding. He touched the lives of many people and was an ambassador for the breed. Myska and Granite will live on in the children and grandchildren that they have given us. |
