Torch arrived at Snowood in January 2006 and began a whirlwind Specials campaign. We are THRILLED to add this fabulous young Group Winner to our kennel, if even for a short time. We are HONORED to present him for owner Debbie Meador, Tanasea Shibas.
A Best of Breed winner his first weekend out, Torch took little time to reach the Top 10 in the Breed. At his first set of Benched Shows, he was undefeated in the Breed at the prestigious Chicago International Kennel Club. Torch is currently one of only TWO Shibas with back-to-back Group 1 wins in 2006!
Torch is a Champion producer, with several sons and daughters Major pointed and Best of Breed winners. Bred to Japanese Import, Jukuhagoromo Go Honjou Araki Sou (Fuu-Chan), he produced sons Tai and Woofie. Tanasea's Toukon Go Taimatsu (Tai) is a multiple Best of Breed winner, including BOB at the Philadelphia KC show in 2004, and needs only 1 Major to finish. Woofie has just returned to the US from an extended tour of Europe, where he became Int/Dutch/Belgian/German CH Tanasea's Tetsu Go Taimatsu. Within 7 shows of his return, he added AM CH to his list of titles. Woofie is a multiple Breed winner in the US and Europe, and an Group placer here in the US. 2 puppies from 2003 NSCA National Specialty BOS winner, CH Shandell Electra at Tanasea, are multiple Breed winners from the puppy class, and a third, residing in Canada, is a multiple Group placing Can CH.
