<------ This is what *I* did when HRS (Child Protective Services) ruined my life by ripping my family apart unneccesarily. After two years, I now know better than to run and hide. I fight back. Ignoring this problem only fans the flames. . Be informed. I have been through the "system" for over two years now. Two years after they said they'd return my daughter in THIRTY DAYS. I am not alone. I have heard SO many stories like mine. Did you know 60-80% of child abuse and neglect accusations are FALSE??? Why? I'll tell you.



Our system at times (more times than not) becomes overzealous about a case, thinking they are "saving" a child, when in fact, usually their concentration is in the wrong place. The non-conventional "not up to their apple pie standards" family is savagely ripped apart, and dissected while under their noses REAL abuse is being ignored. We've all seen it. And to justify the cases that go unnoticed? The crack down on anything they can get their hands on. Oh no, admit we made a mistake? No, let's just make smoke where we thought there was a fire. Quick, give me some matches....



If the system needs to wash the blood from their hands they should NOT do it at the expense of innocent people. I am sick of "foster care" and "termination of parental rights" being thrown around lightly like it's a trendy "cool" kind of phrase, or as if it gives anyone the right to rip apart a family “the system” finds less than perfect. The system is tainted in prejudice and bigotry, looking to justify their inability to manage the overwhelming case load they have due to incompetency, complacency and a general lack in instinctive and intuitive thinking. Throw the textbooks away .... do you think children come with manuals, NO, so how can they enter the system "broken" and be fixed with your textbooks?



I have found positives and negatives in what you will read. The good thing was that I found myself more spiritual and closer to the Higher Power. I learned that TRUE family and friends (UNCONDITIONAL LOVE) are all you need to be truly rich in life. I know every day is a precious gift. We take so much for granted.



The flip side is beware of being caught in the "system" or you will find that our mythic "Land of the free and the home of the brave" and "Innocent until proven guilty", the creeds this country was supposedly built upon and the security blanket under which we sleep and take comfort never existed to begin with, only for those ($$$) select few that hold the cards... Having civil and constitutional rights? A mere fairy tale in an old book. My prayer is that you never experience this horrendous nightmare, but the only way to avoid this travesty of justice is to be aware and to get off your a** and do something about it...
