Five Point Plan for Pond Improvement

  1. Remove encroaching branches, bushes, debris and saplings from all three ponds, the connecting stream and the entering stream up to the waterline.
  2. Cut and thin lilies and other vegetation in all ponds.
  3. Offer advice to abutters: (a) do not use fertilizers on lawns or gardens that drain into the ponds or streams; (b) do not dump leaves in pond, streams or near the shores.
  4. Permit small, hand bucket dredging by EHS residents at selected spots.
  5. Provide a narrow walking path several feet above the ponds in selected areas as indicated on our diagram.
