Visit of the Amherst Town Conservation Commission to our EHS Pond.

On March 23, 1999 Harry Brooks agreed to be the Chairperson of the Pond Committee.
On Jan. 25, 2000 Chuck Gillies reported to the EHSA Board of Directors on a Seven Point Plan for improvement of the EHSA ponds. The board approved the Plan's structure and charged Chuck to produce a brief proposal to be submitted to the Amherst Conservation Commission for their consideration.
The Pond Committee on further reflection and advice from local environmental consultants reduced the 7-point-plan to a 5-point plan.
On March 22, 2000, the Amherst Conservation Commission voted unanimously to approve our 5-point-plan with the condition that the water work be done while the pond was near its lowest and there was no outflow from the pond.
By August 26, 2000, the Pond was still overflowing due to the wet summer.
