Didn't get anything planted but finally bought some Rootone (rooting hormone), and on the way back from town pulled over across from the old homestead that is falling apart and where we have espied iris in the past. DH zipped over and filled a bag. Two were in bloom and am pretty sure were the historicals ' Honorabile' and 'Florentina'. Also the mail brought two rhizomes I bought on eBay, 'Dolly Madison' and 'Lent A. Williamson'. They were cut off pretty short and pretty dried out looking but the rhizomes are fat. Spotted a clump of 'Wabash' at a house near the feed store. Need to figure a cheap way to fix up permanent markers.........copper pipe engraved?

Noticed that the yellow iris out front is in bloom as are at least 3 more 'Sindjkha' .
