Nobody's Inn is just one of the many homes built between 1855 and 1930 in the Southside Historic Residential District of Palatka, Florida. Our home is historically known as "The Underwood House", and is a classic example of a Queen Anne Temple-form Homestead. This type of frame vernacular house is characterized by a steeply-pitched roof forming a front gable, overhanging eaves with ornamental trusses, embellished gable peaks, and a single-story porch supported with diagonal braces. It is crowned with one of the few surviving examples of patterned pressed-tin roof tiles in the neighborhood. |
