In the style of the massive buildings of the
surrounding business district, the tower rests on a highly
articulated, five storey base with a monumental entrance. At
the 29th and 44th floors, five foot set backs taper the mass
of the building. Recessed spandrels and details are a
deep green granite with a decorative abstract pattern. Designed
by Peter Ellis of SOM, the tower is the 21st tallest
building in the world, at 1,007feet. That height figure is
after a decision to include the spires in its height, as with
Petronas. Before the decision it was the 39th
tallest at 885ft.
