Chicago Board Of Trade

tower#00232

This art-deco building makes the most of a splendid
site at the foot of Chicago's equivalent of Wall Street. The
mass of the tower steps back as it rises, culminating in a
steep pyramidal roof topped by a statue of Ceres. Designed
by Holabirb and Root in 1930, this is one of Chicago's most
notable monuments.
