Rising 832 feet (253 metres) at its highest point, this elegant
structure is the tallest office building in the southern hemisphere
as well as the seventh tallest reinforced concrete building
in the world. Built 8 years ago, these chameleon-like
twin towers are encased, wall to wall, by 1.8 hectares of
glass that reflects the colours of the sky, changing from
deep blues to rich golds through the day.
Featuring a vast roofed plaza paved in terra
cotta and exquisite fixtures, this linked-tower development
offers one million square feet of office space, a 621 -bay
car park as well as an adjacent 241 -room world-class
hotel. With the opening of its Observation Deck in July
1994, the Rialto became the 18th member of the World Federation
of Great Towers.
