Los Muse

A lesser Deity of my extended family is the Muse, which oft' times enlightens us to sing praises to the greater Deity, Uno. It is now known that the Muse once claimed a hold on the thoughts of maternal matriarch Esther. And on the life hardened focus of her daughter's affections, one Sir Vyron. And I recall my elder sibling, Richard the Younger, who was schooled both formally and self taught in all matters of musings, from sonnets to free form. Richard has also followed such callings from the Muse in musical formats, ranging from the accordion to the harmonica, from the stringed guitar to the melodic organ and piano. All of us who have been inspired by the Muse from time-to-time, realize that we cannot squander such blessings. There is a need to elaborate on the deeper meanings of life, to state whatever our thoughts lead us (does that sentence make sense?). I once read where Hank Williams the Senior at a still young and unproven age, was asked by a Nashville record producer to write a song based on a certain set of parameters. Hank sat down and wrote "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You" while still in the record producer's office. The Muse...., to Muse or not to Muse, that is indeed the question. David was one of God's favorites, and David wrote many of the Psalms in order to praise God, while inspired by the Muse. Ben Franklin's Poor Richard's Almanac is a collection of some really cool thoughts and ideas, all the brainchild of the Muse. Abraham Lincoln also made many observations besides penning the Gettysburg Address. I ask you to take the time some day to read a collection of his writings. But there have been many, many great poets and writers throughout history. So what is the point of my meandering thought process? Please tell me and I will feel the better knowing. Alas, please forgive me, for I am too, in search of this maddening Muse.
