A Thunderstorm
Tonight as I arrived home, I was taking out the trash, and was inspired to
share with you A moment in the life of a late summer Gulf Coast storm.
An immense towering thunder-head glows golden at dusk,
With photo bulbs popping within.
A rumble is waxing, then waning, e're closing,
An ever increasingly din.
The winds are now gusting and all the while whirling,
Debris is a-flying around.
The raindrops now splattering, the windows
a-battering,
The thunder a deafening sound.
Then swoosh comes a downpour, I run towards the front door,
And emmerge all dripping, in spite.
I can't resist turning, to see the spouts bursting,
Amazed at the Creators might.
Toodleoo, yon jealous non-Texans,
Los Bifster
