This lovely 2 bedroom 2.5 bath home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is not in the tourist area commonly associated with crowds. There is no automobile traffic. The house is at the end of the street on a peninsula that extends into the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The actual address of the house is 401 74th St., Holmes Beach, Florida. This is a NO SMOKING HOUSE.

There are several very nice white sand beaches within walking distance(5 minutes) from the house. These are not the tourist beaches, they are beaches that local Floridians who are "in the know" use.... They have shaded facilities, and trees to set up your chairs under, or plenty of sandy sunshine if you prefer..

If you are interested in Bradenton Beach or Long Boat Beach, with its tourists beaches, these are about 5 minutes south of this house. These beautiful tourist beaches are guaranteed to be crowded with lots of folks milling about. This is very appealing and much fun for the right type of person.

About three times each week, bottle nose porpoises..., called dolphins cruise along the beach neat the house. The area behind our house is a favorite fishing area for local fishing guides who are trying to catch snook. This is undoubtably the same reason the dolphins are interested. in the area.

There are 3 piers for public fishing within a mile of the house. There are charters that will take you into the gulf for 1/2 day or full day trips.

Golf courses

There are several very well known Golf courses within 30 minutes of the house. Innisbrook is to the south about 15 minutes.. I am not a golfer myself, but one internet page lists the following courses as being some of the best in the world. Provided with the house

The house comes with all linens for beds, baths, and kitchen. All appliances, washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove for cooking food, microwave sutiable for everything from popcorn to corn on the cob or warming leftovers.. You will need to supply your tooth bursh, FOOD, DRINK, and favorite shampoo. Paper towels and TP are provided.

The Florida attractions in Orlando are about 90 minutes by car from our house. The Interstates offer easy access to the Orlando attractions. It is easy to drive to the Orlando area, enjoy a day's worth of attractions and return to the house that evening.

Rental rates and deposit requirements

The weekly rental rate is $650.00 to $750.00. The monthly rental rate is $2400.00. There is an 8% Florida tax also... so add the 8% to however long you wish to stay... For weekly rentals, the entire rental amount is considered the rental deposit. For monthly rentals only a rental deposit of 50% of rental is required to hold house for you and the balance of rent is due 2 months prior to your arrival. The rental deposits are non-refundable. A security deposit of $200.00 is also required to cover any abnormal breakage or other damage over and above normal wear and tear on the property. This will be refunded within 4 weeks of your last day of occupancy.
