"What does the Great Spirit say to you?"
The God of my heart comes to me on the wings of a bird, and speaks to me through the wind in the trees... The voice is ever flowing as it speaks of Truth and Peace...
The Great Spirit speaks to us all through the Gentleness of the deer,
the Power of the horse, the Grace of the swan, the Meaningful song of the frogs, the Sacred Spiral Dance of the grouse, the Strength of the hawk, and the Understanding of the trees... If you look at each individually you would realize one is incomplete without the other... You cannot have Understanding without Gentleness, Strength without meaning, or a Sacred Dance without Power, and Grace...Everything is connected in the Circle of Life...
"Do you listen to what the Great Spirit says to you?"
"Mother Earth is crying", what do you the human being intend to do about it??? What would you say to the deer if it stopped and looked you in the eye??? As the mother stands with her fawn she stops to look at you... In her eyes you read Fear, Hope, Gentleness, and Understanding... She speaks in a way that only the purest of Heart would Understand... She begins by saying, " I am afraid, not for me but for my baby... If you take me now how will it survive??? I hope you can see that I am not harming you and wish to understand why you wish to harm me... We are hungry and my baby must eat... As a mother you want to protect your baby... I know what you must do, but please not right now... I understand the Law of Nature... I will give up my life if you let my baby live... I forgive you... I also Understand you have a family that must survive... If you would listen with your heart you would realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
As you move on you hear the stomping of hooves... There before you stands a horse... It's massive form blocking your path... Every muscle in its body is tense... It whinnies and bucks and jumps in front of you...Its black coat is almost blue as it shines in the sunlight... Its tail flaps carelessly around and its mane blows freely in the breeze... Its eyes have a far away look... It speaks to you..." You take too much upon yourself... Come run with me... Free yourself of all your worries and come to see your inward Power, which you possess... As we gallop along you will see life as I do... It passes you by so quickly and there is no going back... Will you be pleased with everything you have left behind??? It is time for you to take the reins in your own life and gallop into the world of Peace and Love... Become that and you shall KNOW true Power... Do this and you will realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
As you continue you come to a pond... You notice a swan and how it carries itself with such Grace... Its neck is held perfectly, with its head held high, and its eyes level with your own... "Greetings to you... Have you come to speak to me??? I swim in the water of Love and Peace... I carry myself with Grace and Dignity, do you??? I see people that walk around with their eyes glued to the ground, why is that??? Why do you do that??? How would others view you, would they say you carry yourself with Grace??? I speak with Love, and swim with Hope, that one day this world will be filled with Peace and Grace... If you stop to hear me you will realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
The swan disappears and you hear the meaningful song of the frogs...Their song is all about Light, Life, and Love... It's about how everything is connected in the Circle of Life... The words carry much Meaning... " It has been so long since anyone has heard our song..." The frog surfaces and hops over to look you in the eye... "Our song is full of Meaning do you Understand??? As you look back over your life does it have any Meaning to you??? Listen to our song and you will realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
You slowly walk away from the pond and continue on your path..." May I have this dance??? " You turn around to see the grouse doing its Sacred Dance... It Spirals with ease and it comes to look you in the eye... " When I Dance it's for hope that someday we will all listen to one another... Each time I Dance I pray that each turn will bring more Love into this world... I have been on a downward Spiral as well as an upward Spiral... Which Spiral are you at now??? Which ever you are at is where you are meant to be... But for the time being lets Dance with each other in perfect Harmony... If we do this you will realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
You leave the grouse and continue on your journey... Far above you hear a cry... You look up in time to see a hawk soaring above... As it comes and lands before you, you notice the Strength as it looks you in the eye... "You keep yourself grounded and don't let yourself fly free... You don't listen to the message sent to you through the Earth Mother, why is that??? Are you afraid of your own strength??? What you have been given is a special gift; you should not fear it... The Earth Mother is reaching out to you for help and has sent me to guide you... Come soar with me and see the Beauty and Strength in everything...If you do this you will realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
You then continue to your final destination... Finally you come to rest against the tree... As you slowly lower yourself down to rest against it, you come to an Understanding... It asks you, "If you understood what the others have tried to tell you...'' You look up at it and its limbs slowly come down to surround and protect you...It speaks to you..."You seem as if you are always on the run... Be still like me and you will Understand much... Silently I stand and watch over the land... Patiently I wait for those who are willing to Listen and Understand...You my dear friend have come far and learned much on your journey... You have shared a moment of Gentleness with the deer, a moment of Power with the horse, you glided through your experience with the swan with such Grace, you read such a Meaning into what the frogs spoke of, and the Strength you learned from the hawk got you here to me, where I think you now Understand what you must do in this Life... Listen to what I have said and you will realize that we are the same and that we are one..."
You slowly stand up and thank the Great Spirit (whichever name you give yours) for showing you a different path... A path of Light, Life and Love... A place where man and beast are one...
