1. Names of 5 students, the subject they like, their favorite sport & their classes are given in a round about way using 7 or 8 statements. You need to spot the exact match of all these. (6)

2. There is a cube of side 27 inches. It's surface is painted red. It is then divided into 27 cubes of side 9 inches each. These 27 cubes are well shuffled in a bag and spread on the floor. What is the probability that they have their surfaces painted red? (8)

3. In how many differnt ways can a dice be numbered with only one stipulation that '1' is opposite to '6', '2' is opposite to '5' and '3' is opposite to '4'? (4)

4. some 4 teams A,B,C & D paricipate in a football tournament. Each team play against each other team exactly once. The points scored by A,B & C teams are 1,5,3 resply. B scored a total of 4 goals while the no. of goals scored in all the games is 9. C scored 3 goals in the match against A, in which A scored only 2 goals. D hasn't scored any goal in all the games it played. What are the scores obtained by B & A in the match they played against each other? (6)

5. Three old friends say A,B,C were chating together. 
A told : " Hey B, It's four years since I met ur 2 children. How old are they now? "
C told : " It's not 2, but 3 now. "
B told : " The product of their ages is 96. When you add their ages, you get the door number of house next to mine. "
A told : "  The info is not sufficient. "
C told : " If you think about it well, you shall get the answer. "
Then, A was able to find the ages of his friend's children. Can you tell their ages ? (4)

6. There are 3 kinds of apples mixed in a bag. How many apples should you take(with your eyes closed) to be sure there are atleast 3 apples of the same kind? (4)

7. Tower A is 200 feet high and 250 feet away from it is another tower, say B, which is 150 feet high. Two eagles sitting on the top of these towers start flying towards the grain on the land between these towers at the same instance. If they reach the grain at the same time, what is the distance between the grain and tower A? (4)

8. 5 persons A,B,C,D,E participated in a running race. After the race each person gave the statement as below. However the persons who bagged the first two places lied.
A : I'm not the last.
B : C is the third.
C : A is behind E.
D : E is second.
E : D is not the first.
Can you find the order in which they completed the race? (8)

9. Mamu is riding on a merry go round with other children. He says : " one third of the children behind me added to three fourth of the children ahead of me gives the number of persons riding on the merry go round.". Can you tell the number of people riding? (6)
