Are the Conservatives of today the Liberals of Yesteryear?
This site is designed to provide discussion on issues that have so deeply divided America today.

In the study I have done, through reading, etc., I have often wondered if the aforementioned statement is factual. The Democrats of today do not hold the same ideals and attitudes that the Democrats of 50 to 100 years ago did. And neither do the Republicans. But which Party is the most dangerous to our Culture as a Society and a Country as a whole? And which Party holds the values that guarantees freedom for all, but fits within the bounds of the Constitution, yet does not constrain the citizen along Party popular catch phrases.
Some of these issues being; dealing with the Second Amendment, the First Amendment, abortion, the infamous Court dictated "Separation of Church and State", and many others.
On this page I will from time to time comment on these and many other issues. Your comments are welcome, and as long as they are civil, I will try to post them here as well.

Another topic that has Americans embroiled in debate in today's politics and coffee shops around the country is the issue of "gay marriage". This is somewhat of an oxy-moron, in that the definition of marriage has always been the traditional recognition of the union of one man and one woman. There are those in America that think our laws and for that matter, our Constitution, are all living documents, in that, as time and society changes, so should our laws to fit their ever-changing whims and notions. Yet they do not stop to analyze the impact that such laws, if enacted, will have on other members of society.
Take for instance the gay marriage argument. If it is made legal for gays or lesbians to obtain married status in our society, where will this change in the definition of "marriage" end? If this change is OK, then why isn't Polygamy accepted? If you do not accept this alternative form of marriage as well, isn't this a form of discrimination against the Polygamists in America as well?
Do we really want to open this can of worms?
