Patricia Conroy knows how to keep on rockin'.
Despite a serious attack from a German shepherd while on tour in Italy earlier this year, the spunky Conroy put on one heck of a show last night at Nashville North.
The Canadian Country Music Association 1994 female vocalist of the year burst onto the stage singing one of her biggest hits Keep Me Rockin'.
The rock-influenced country tune got the crowd's attention and Conroy had no problem holding it throughout her set. It is no mystery why this five-time Stampede veteran keeps getting invited back to The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth.
Conroy has a beautiful voice that can belt out heart-warming ballads or catchy songs like Diamonds and then easily switch to a traditional tune such as Blue Moon of Kentucky.
Oh yeah, those pixie-good looks and exposed midriff don't hurt either. Conroy also makes sure to have frequent eye contact with her fans.
She also took the time to shake hands with the numerous fans who were lined up at the front of the stage.
Though Conroy has quite a collection of familiar music -- such as the CMT favorite I Don't Want to Be the One -- the all-white outfitted singer offered a few new tunes that are sure to be on her next independently-released CD.
It may not have been as easy to sing along to, but it was proof positive that Conroy is still heading down the right path.
While one of her set's closing numbers professed: "My baby loves me just the way that I am," it's also a sentiment felt by her fans toward her.
