Cheraw State Park has boats for rent. Riverside Park has a boat ramp for the Pee Dee River. Carolina Sandhills provides only the lakes.

Fishing

Cheraw State Park, Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge (headquarters on Hwy 1; visitors need to pick up a map and regulations);

Sandhills State Forest; Southside Park; Pee Dee River-Riverside Park; Lake Wallace- Bennettsville. Nonresidents 14 or older must have a

license to fish in any fresh waters. South Carolina has a reciprocal fishing agreement with Georgia only. Licenses are available at hardware and

tackle shops.

Bike, Horse Back Riding & Hiking Trails

There are excellent trails in Cheraw State Park (537-2215) and Sandhills State Forest (498-6478)
