Annie E. Lent(NW4)(1865-1930)- buried at Smithfield. My great grandmother, F.J. Francey- her brother (1868-1942), J(ohn) Francey -born in Ireland, her father, first person buried at Smithfield (1826-1908).
David Harmon Lent (SW4) (1858-1938)- my great grandfather, buried at Smithfield. Methodist Missionary, came west in 1898, homesteaded 1902, first teacher at Smithfield.
Walker Short (E6) - Operated a livery stable in Wabamun
Wabaman School District (Pt NE8)- First Wabamun (Smithfield) School, 1905, built by Alfred Root.
Charles Laight (NW8)- Boer War veteran, married Ethel Woollard, 1904.
Arthur Charles Smith (NE8) - Butcher and auctioneer.
Hayward Ernest Carter (SE8) - Ran stopping house, 1906, baker and livery stable in Wabamun.
Henry White (SW8) - Storekeeper in Wabamun.
NE10 - Location of first Smithfield School, renamed when it was moved from NE8, 1914.
Charles E. Carthew (NW10)- Doctor in the district for many years.
SE15 - Location of Hopkins Methodist Church, built by Alfred Root, 1908.
Edwin J. Woollard (E half of SW18)- my grandfather,(1886-1966), buried at Rexboro.
Annie Woollard (NE18)-Great Grandma (settled 1902), 1920-moved to SW26-53-4-W5.
Arthur David Percival (NW18)- moved to SE26-53-4-W5.
Stoker White(SW20)- Father of Henry White(SW8)
George Frederick Duncan (SE28)- Married Lillian Lent, ran store in Duffield after 1911.
Alfred Lewis Root (SW28)- Built Smithfield School, 1905, Hopkins Methodist Church 1908. Wabamun School, 1913, Rexboro Hall, 1924, and many houses in the area.
