HALHEAD, James.
Jim came to a homestead a few miles north of Wabamun in about 1915. He came from England where at one time he had been a coachman, and I have been told that Jim was always very good with horses. In about 1919 or 1920 Jim went to BC to visit a sister. While he was there he met a young English widow. They were married and he brought her back to the homestead (NW2-54-4-W5). Jim also worked at the Lakeside Mine. To be closer to his work, the Halheads rented a house from the Dunns which at that time was close to where the Wabamun overpass is now. In the meantime their son, Alfred, had been born. Later they had a daughter, Margaret. Some time after that they rented Mrs. Boswell's house right in the Village of Wabamun. There, when a third baby was on the way, tragedy struck and Jim was killed in a cave in at the mine. Later their second boy, Edward, was born.
James was born in 1886 and died in 1928. Rev. Hatfield officiated at his funeral.(Miners)

HARRISON, Baby William.
Baby William was only one year old when he died of pneumonia on January the twenty-third, 1935. His parents were Peter and Sue Harrison of Wabamun.
William was born in 1934 and died in 1935. Rev. Franklin officiated at his funeral.

HENDERSON, Baby John.
Baby John's arrival had been looked forward to with loving anticipation by his very fine Scottish parents, John and Jean, who were renting a house at Rexboro. However, wee John did not live to draw a breath in this world. He was a nephew to Margaret and James Veitch.
John was born and died on October fourth, 1934.

HEATH, William and Ada.
William and Ada were both born in Staffordshire, England, Ada in 1875 and William in 1876. They were later married and in 1904 they immigrated to Michigan, USA. In 1913 William took up a homestead in the Fallis district (NE28-53-5-W5). Ada and the family joined him in July of 1914. There were seven children in the family, Freda, Rex, Ida, Leo, Lulu, Edna and Thelma. As well as working the homestead, William worked at the Lakeside Mine. Upon finding coal on the homestead, he developed a mine there, selling coal to the local people. In November of 1924 William was getting the mine ready for the winter operation when tragedy struck and he died in the mine from carbon monoxide gas. He was only 48 years old. Ada returned to Michigan two years later to be with some of her sons. She returned to Alberta in about 1946. She then taught Sunday school in Fallis and had a girls club. She also taught a confirmation class for Rev. Peake who was at that time the incumbent at the Rexboro Church. Ada was 93 at the time of her death.
William was born in 1876 and died in 1924. Rev. Bee officiated at his funeral.
Ada was born in 1875 and died in 1968. Rev Rushton officiated at her funeral.

HURST, Ellen.
Ellen Brinklow was born near Bancroft, Ontario, on February 21, 1879. On Christmas day of 1900 she married George Fletcher Hurst. They lived in Bancroft for the next ten years where George had a wood-working shop. In 1910 George came to Fallis where Ellen and the family joined him in 1911. There were five children. There were twins, one of whom died in infancy and the other at the age of 21. The remaining three are still living; Alice, Clarence and Gerald. The family moved from Fallis to a homestead two miles north of Fallis so the children could attend the Rexboro school. They stayed there until George joined the army when Ellen and the family moved back to Fallis. There Ellen was active in church work and also ran the post office. She remained in Fallis until her death.
Ellen was born in 1879 and died in 1938. Rev. Matthews officiated at her funeral.

JONES, Matilda, Elsie, Basil, Dennis and Albert.
I can get very little information regarding the Jones family, five of whom are buried in the Rexboro churchyard. Matilda Jones, the mother, was born in Ontario in 1891. Elsie Matilda was born in Chilliwack in 1911 and Basil in Delburne in 1920. Both Elsie and Basil died at an early age from lung complications. There were three other boys. Albert was born in Red Deer in 1909, Dennis was born in Delburne in 1918 and Denzil in Delburne in 1921. The mother and family lived for a time in Fallis. Then they moved to a farm north of Wabamun. While on the farm, Mrs. Jones died and later Dennis and Albert. Albert died in Edmonton on March 12, but was not buried until March 29 as Denzil did not seem to realize that the funeral arrangements were his responsibility. Denzil still lives on the farm, very much a recluse.
Matilda was born in 1891 and died in 1956. Rev. Hooper officiated at her funeral.
Basil was born in 1920 nd died in 1930. Rev. Elliot officiated at his funeral.
Elsie was born in 1911 and died in 1930. Rev. Elliot officiated at her funeral.
Dennis was born in 1918 and died in 1963 Rev. Exham officiated at his funeral.
Albert was born in 1909 and died in 1978 Rev. Wilson officiated at his funeral.
