Bride's Journal

Here's the place I keep track of my many triumphs, disappointments and changes as I plan this wedding.

July 18, 2000

The bridesmaids dresses arrived last week.  My mom feels the dress store woman ordered the dresses intentionally too large in order to get more money in alteration fees.  Little did she know two of the bridesmaids are in different states. Competent consumer that Tonia is, she haggled with the woman and now she's doing her alterations for free.  I hope Carline can get the same deal if her dress is too big.

I'm just so happy the dresses are here in time for the wedding.  I was envisioning major drama  :-)

Oh yeah, Tonia is now rethinking her decision to change my choice of wisteria colored dresses to the sky blue she chose..  The color wisteria is looking mighty good to her now.  Too late!  :-)  (Be careful what you confess to me, it might end up in the website.)  <snicker>

The RSVP's are arriving slooooooowly.  We have less than 60% returned. You have less than a week folks!  The deadline is July 24th.  Don't have us having to call you up.  You know who you are.  ;-)

Attirewise...I still have to find my shoes.  I'm having no luck finding what I want.  You know, it's not easy being different.  ;-)  I know exactly what I want, but no one seems to have it.  Well, if I don't find something soon, it's on to plan B.  We also have to find a dress for Danielle.  Per her instructions, it has to have a full skirt and poofy sleeves.

We go up to Boston this weekend for the last time before the wedding so that we can meet with Rev. Ellis.  Got the license on the last trip, so we're all set!
