My favorite sight in London: the Parliament building and Big Ben.
The famous Tower Bridge.
Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives.
A palace guard.
Another place we spent a lot of time: the tube!
The White Tower at the center of the Tower of London complex
Henry VIII's suit of armor.
Off with his head!
The British Museum in London had a wonderful collection of Egyptian artifacts. Here are some mummies.
This is the famous Rosetta Stone from 196BC. It was the key to being able to read Egyptian writing.
The Elgin Marbles, collected from ruins of the Parthenon in Greece.
Blenheim Palace was built for the Duke of Marlborough in 1722. Sir Winston Churchill was born here in 1874 when his mother was visiting the palace. The palace was beautiful!
What a yard!
There were sheep all over the grounds at Blenheim Palace.
The famous Stonehenge.
A cottage with a thatched roof in Avebury.
Tasting beer at the Smoking Dog pub in Malmesbury.
Hadrian's Wall is a 1900-year-old fortification that originally ran from coast to coast across northern England, marking the northern boundary of the Roman Empire.
Holy Island, off the East Coast of northern England, can be reached only during low tide. At high tide, the road is under water. In the distance is 16th-century Lindisfarne Castle.
The changing of the guards at Edinborough Castle.
The ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness.
A lone bagpiper among the ruins.
There were lambs all over Scotland. They were so cute!
