The entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. (This was the last park we visited.)
Bryce Canyon is an "amphitheatre" of rock formations. The park roads run along the top of the canyon and have spectacular views.
The canyon color differs depending on where you are, which direction you're facing, and whether the sun is out.

Some unusual formations.
An arch in the rocks.
We hiked the Navajo Loop trail down into the canyon.
The trail was steep with lots of switchbacks. It was really beautiful. (Crowded too, but Dale managed to snap a shot without a lot of people.)
The trail ran through a finger canyon where the light came in as though from a skylight.
Here's an arch in the trail.
I think this was called the Queen's Garden. Some of the formations looked oddly like people.
Some more strange formations.
Near the bottom of the canyon, the scenery resembled a sort of strange Dr. Suess landscape.
This photo was taken from Sunrise Point (but not at sunrise).
