May 25, 1880 New Orleans). Children were James W. Kelly (July 10, 1863 - Sept. 15, 1935), Catheri e (1866 - Dec. 26, 1900, m. John H. Miller), Mary (1868 - Dec. 23, 1904), Thomas (1873 - August 5, 1902). James was my gr-grandfather, my father's mother's father. You have a volunteer Union soldier named Timothy Kelly on your website. William Green Kelley b.5-4-1822 was married to Harriet Hendrix abt. 1848 in Union Paris La. They later moved to Texas where their daughter Allafair Holland Kelley married my g g grandfather Robert Russell Rigby. Maybe we can find a tie in between the two families. |

| Comments: Strange happenings. My wife's mother is a Kelley. We have traced her family back to a William C. Kelley b. 1775 Ireland, to NC as a child, to AL in 1830's and died in 1843 in Perry Co., AL or Union Parrish, LA. William's wife Tabitha is in the 1850 Cen us of Union Parrish along with g-g-grandfather Joel Parish Kelley & wife Deborah, brother John C. Kelley & Eliza. They moved to LA in 1842 to Concord Community near Farmerville, LA. They along with the Funderburk family moved to Concord (which they name )in Anderson Co. TX near Palestine in East Texas in 1869. Joel P., Deborah Funderburk Kelley and her brother Van Funderburk are baried at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Sure seems close to the tracks of your Kelley's and i bet you've seen them in c nsus records and wondered who they are. |
