These pictures were given to me by Mr. Buck Bloomer. I was able to locate him from his name and hometown written on the nazi flag my father brought home.  Buck has given me a tremendous amount of information, which I try to share here.  Thanks, Buck, for all of your help.  (left picture: Turzack, Pagliuco, Bloomer. This is the picture my father carried with him-- my mother, sister, and two brothers. 

His Platoon Leader, Lt. Ralph Larson saw the picture and remembered my father talking about his family.

Mr. Larson published his memoirs. In his book he mentioned my father, and other men, whose names were written on a nazi campaign flag I now have.
