INDIGO ESTATES
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
Indigo Lake Estates, Laplace, Louisiana, was developed between 1988 and 1992 with many new home seekers being attracted to the area because of the amenities offered in architectural consistency, attractive common areas, privacy perimeter fencing and location near schools, churches, shopping and major highway accesses. Since the completion of the subdivision by the development company, the homeowner's association, which includes all property owners, has continued the preservation of the neighborhood through the improvement and maintenance of all common areas and the promotion of recreation, health and safety within our community.
The Association is a nonprofit corporation with the purpose of promoting the above-mentioned items for the benefit of all property owners. Membership in Indigo Estates Homeowners Association is mandatory for all residents. Deed restrictive covenants and architectural controls are in effect and strictly enforced. We are funded through an annual assessment per lot, billed twice a year. The Association is under the direction of elected board members for the term of one year.
General Membership meetings are routinely held throughout the year to discuss issues concerning our community and "The Indigo Item", a community newsletter, is published quarterly to keep residents informed.

Indigo Estates is located near many public and private schools, as well as churches in the area. We are conveniently located near River Parishes Hospital, and other medical facilities and services.
The St. John the Baptist Parish Library is centrally located for all parish residents to utilize its services. A theater is nearby for your enjoyment and shopping is close also. The area is still growing and so are the ever-increasing dine-in and fast food restaurants.
There are many fairs and festivals that take place throughout the year in and around the parish. St. John the Baptist parish is known as the "ANDOUILLE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD" (pronounced An-doo-ee) and hosts the ANDOUILLE FESTIVAL which takes place in October of each year.
The Indigo Estates Homeowner's Association routinely hosts family functions such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt for the kids, Santa at the Gazebo, and block parties for the residents and their families. We promote family and community togetherness. We welcome your input and participation in helping us to maintain the community in which we live.
