Rocking Chair
This rocking chair came to me with a broken rocker. Since the rocker takes a lot of stress, I decided to make a new one instead of trying to repair the old rocker. The chair is made out of maple, so that is what I used for the rocker.
Here is the rocker after the repair. The challenge was not so much in making a new rocker, but in matching the color of the replacement rocker with the rest of the charir. I mixed several colors of stain, and applied several coats to achieve the proper color.
