(Some 1971 files are missing - oops)This site contains the texts from newspaper clippings from the Star-Herald and Bangor Daily News that were collected over the years by Phylis Allen (33kb photo). A few articles also contain photos. The clippings are arranged by topic. Please pick the type of information you are looking for, and then you will be presented with a list of time periods to look at. Choose the decade and the particular article you want to read. Use the "Back" button on your browser to return to look at another decade.
