RECEIVED DEGREE -- George L. Donovan, above, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Donovan of Worthington, Mass., former residents of Washburn and Caribou, was awarded a bachelor of science in education degree from the State Teachers college at Salem, Mass., this week. Recently elected to the Hall of Fame, composed of the 10 most outstanding graduates of a class of 110, Donovan was student manager of the bookstore for three years, president of the Dramatics club and president of Tri Mu. Donovan was graduated from Huntington high school, Huntington, Mass., with honors. He attended schools in Washburn and Caribou previous to moving to Worthington. He plans to accept a teaching position in Michigan.
