Washburn Honor Parts Announced

WASHBURN, April 6 [1950] -- Prin. William C. Foster of Washburn High school has announced graduation honor parts of the Senior class, as follows:

Valedictory: Ronald Anderson; salutatory, Patrice McIntire; honor essays, Warrena Bugbee and Robert Plissey; class parts, Helen Russell, Marion Bugbee, Nathaniel Churchill, Edna Jordan, Robert Sperry and Otis Russell, Jr.

Ronald Anderson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Anderson of Washburn. He has taken the college course and participated in many activities of the school. He held the position of secretary-treasurer of the Journalism club for two years; served as associate editor of the yearbook, The Northland; was general manager of the magazine campaign; took part in the County Spelling contest three years; and was winner in 1950; manager of basketball two years, assistant manager one year, and was in one-act plays and the Senior play.

Miss Patrice McIntire is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McIntire of Perham. She has taken the College course and has been active at Washburn high school. She served as secretary-treasurer of the National Honor Society; secretary-treasurer, librarian and pianist of the Glee club; has been a member of the band, orchestra, Future Homemakers; vice-president of her class one year; manager of basketball one year; public speaking three years; varsity cheerleader; office girl, three years; had an active part in the Dramatic club, taking part in one-act plays and the Senior play and was sports editor, assistant editor and editor-in-chief of The Northland. 1
