REV. J. E. WAUGH

The Rev. James E. Waugh, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Hallowell, since December 1958, has submitted his resignation effective April 26. He has been called to serve as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bar Harbor and Salisbury Cove Eden Baptist Church. Previous to serving the Hallowell church, he was pastor of the White Rock Free Baptist Church of Gorham and was chaplain of the Men's Reformatory at South Windham. He is secretary of the executive committee of the State Board of Christian Education of the United Baptist Convention of Maine

He received his training at Barrington College, Barrington, R. I., and Berkshire Christian College, Lenox, Mass.

Mrs. Waugh, the former Virginia Woodbury, is a graduate of Barrington College She is state recording secretary of the Maine Baptist Woman's Missionary Society and also secretary in the department of Christian Education and Evangelism of the United Baptist Convention of Maine. Both the Rev and Mrs. Waugh are graduates of Presque Isle High School. They have a three-year-old son, Peter James. Their address will be 41 Ledgelawn Ave., Bar Harbor, as of April.
