New Pastor At Washburn Assumes Duties

WASHBURN -- The Rev. Kenneth B. MacDonald has assumed duties as pastor of the Washburn Pentecostal Church, succeeding the Rev. Lloyd Sparks.

The Rev. Mr. MacDonald, formerly was pastor of the Calvary Full Gospel Church in New Bedford, Mass., having founded the church. He is native of the Boston, Mass., area and his wife, Agnes is from Huntington, Long Island, N.Y.

The couple have two teenage children, Diane, 16, and Steven, 14. The MacDonalds are living in the church parsonage on Maine Street.

The Rev. Mr. MacDonald received his theological training at Zion Bible Institute, East Providence, R.I;, he is vice president of the institute's Alumni Association.

The new minister will speak weekly, at 9 a.m. Sundays, over Presque Isle radio. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and serves the southern New England District of the Assemblies of God as district Sunday School director and Christ Ambassador's youth representative. 1
