Perham Couple Mark 50 Years of Marriage

PERHAM - Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dickinson observed their 50th wedding anniversary at the Dunntown Advent Christian Church. Approximately 200 friends and relatives attended the service and reception following. The Rev. Read Blackstone of Perham was the speaker, and musical selections were given by Mrs. Pauline Helstrom, Arthur Bezanson and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Blackstone. A reading was given by Mrs. Ernest Harris.

The receiving line included Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson and their five children, Cecil, Vaughn and Leroy Dickinson and Mrs. Margaret Good of South Portland and Mrs. Mary Bezanson of Danvers, Mass. The couple have 23 grandchildren, 19 of whom were present, and six great grandchildren, two of whom attended.

Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson were married Sept. 15, 1915, at her parent's home in Crouseville by the Rev. Arthur Woodworth, pastor of the Crouseville Advent Christian Church. Mrs. Dickinson is the former Eunice Crouse. For the anniversary observance, Mrs. Dickinson wore a saphire blue jersey dress with a corsage of yellow poms. Mr. Dickinson is active in farming in Perham.

Circulating the guest book was their granddaughter, Miss Cindy Good of South Portland. Miss Debbie and Beverly Bezanson of Danvers, Mass., and Miss Margo Good of South Portland, also graddaughters, assisted in serving the anniversary cake which was made by Mrs. Quentin Jardine of Washburn. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Cecile Dickinson, Mrs. Vaughn Dickinson and Mrs. Leroy Dickinson, assisted by Joan Dickinson and Patricia Dickinson, Mrs. Carol Dickinson and ladies of the Dunntown Circle.

Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson were presented with gold watches by their family and also received many gifts including a money tree, from friends and neighbors. 1
