MR. AND MRS. LEONARD BOULIER

FRIENDS AND RELATIVES HONOR COUPLE ON 50TH ANNIVERSARY

WASHBURN -- The Odd Fellows Hall here was the scene Saturday of the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Boulier. Host and hostess for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Boulier of Washburn. Approximately 100 friends and relatives attended and presented the couple with gifts which included two money trees.

Mr. Boulier and his wife, the former Sarah Adeline Conley, were united in marriage Oct. 6, 1916 at Andover, N.B. They are the parents of eight girls and one boy. They are Mrs. Winifred Pate, Mrs. Eunice Doody, Mrs. Della Carmen, Mrs. Josephine Dow, all of Washburn; Mrs. Hazel Fournier, Mrs. Jenny Saucier, Presque Isle; Mrs. Maxine Stedt, Caribou; Mrs. Clarabelle Tompkins, Kittery; and Clarence Boulier of Washburn. They have 38 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boulier wore a navy blue suit with a corsage of yellow roses.

The Rev. Kenneth MacDonald, pastor of the Pentecostal Church offered prayer and read an original poem sent to the couple by Mrs. Bessie Gregg of Charleston, Mass. Mrs. Kenneth MacDonald, pianist accompanied soloists, Merlin Cray, Jeffrey Dow and the Rev. Read Blackstone who sang. The Rev. Read Blackstone also read scripture.

Refreshments were served by Mrs. Hazel Fournier, Mrs. Jenny Saucier, Mrs. Eunice Doody, Mrs. Della Carmen and Mrs. Maxine Stedt. Mrs. Debra Cray circulated the guest book and Mrs. Josephine Dow attended the gift table. 1
