Kenneth Fox was master of ceremonies and read favorite scripture verses of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Blackstone, son and daughter-in-law of the couple sang and Mrs. Nancy Blackstone and daughters Donalee, Darilyn and Deborah also sang. Clayton Blackstone, Jr. played a piano solo. A purse of money was presented to the Rev. and Mrs. Blackstone. Following the program refreshments were served by the women of the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Blackstone were married December 31, 1921 at the Baptist parsonage in Washburn with the Rev. Byron Thomas officiating. Mrs. Byron Thomas was Mrs. Blackstone's attendant.
For the anniversary celebration Mrs. Blackstone wore green flowered jersey dress. The couple has four sons and daughter, Mrs. Wilma Olson; Lynn, Mass.; Dr. Donald Blackstone and Lloyd Blackstone of Presque Isle, Clayton Blackstone of Perham and Bernard Blackstone of Fort Kent. They have 19 grandchildren.
