Pastors Quit Positions at Washburn

WASHBURN -- The Rev. and Mrs. Kenneth MacDonald have resigned as pastors of the Washburn Pentecostal Church and will begin evanjelistic services at the Full Gospel Assembly in Saint John, N.B.

The MacDonalds came to Washburn from New Bedford, Mass. where they founded the Calvary Full Gospel Church and pastored it for nine years.

In the past two years, the Washburn Pentecostal Church Sunday School experienced a record attendance of 285 with an average attendance last year of 237. Additional folding chairs were purchased to accommodate the overflow attendance at the Sunday services. This necessitated an enlargement building program which was begun in March of 1966.

The sanctuary was enlarged one-third its original size and the interior remodeled with new lighting, color windows, paneling, solid oak pews and pulpit furnishings.

The Rev. Mr. MacDonald has served as speaker Sunday morning on a 25-minute broadcast over radio in Presque Isle.

Farewell services will be held Sunday at 10:45 a. m. and 7 p.m.
