Woman Burned By Pan Grease

WASHBURN -- An 80-year-old Washburn woman was listed in fair condition with second degree burns at a Presque Isle hospital Monday following an accident at her residence here Saturday in which she was burned with flaming grease.

Mrs. Mary Jane Faulkner had been rushed to A. R. Gould Memorial Hospital by her husband, Burt.

A family member said the elderly woman was getting lunch ready about Saturday noon at her Hines St., residence, that a pan of grease spilled into gas on a stove and that she was burned by a subsequent flame up.
