Couple Notes Anniversary

CARIBOU -- Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Parker of Woodland were guests of honor at an open house on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. Michael Drost, a grandson, had charge of the guest book. Over 90 friends and relatives extended congratulations to the honored couple. A telephone call was received from their grandson, Paul Parker of Cochranton, Pa.

A solo was sung by Joy Parker, granddaughter, and duet by Joy Parker and Penny Burden. There were two solos by Rev. Reed Blackstone of Perham, accompanied by Margaret Harris at the piano.

The cake was made and served by Grace Parker daughter-in-law. Presiding at the punch bowl was Lona Parker, daughter-in-law. Others assisting in serving were Pearl Drost, daughter, and grandchildren, Linda Drost, Sue Drost, and Sheila Parker.

Janice Drost, granddaughter, presided at the gift table. The couple received many cards, gifts and a money tree.

Mr. and Mrs. Parker were married 50 years ago by E. R. Turner of Perham. Their attendants were Hermon Carman, brother of the bride, and Lizzie Carman, both of whom were present at the golden wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Parker have resided for the past 50 years in Woodland.
