WASHBURN -- Mr. and Mrs. Otis Russell were honored at a fellowship gathering following the church service at the First Baptist Church Sunday evening in the Fellowship Hall.
The Russells will leave Saturday for Florida, where they will spend the winter. Having been lifelong residents here, they have sold their home on South Main Street to Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Hoare, Jr. of Winthrop, and the service station on North Main Street that Russell operated for 29 pears to Wayne Churchill of Washburn.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell have six children, Otis Jr., of Walpole, Mass.; Mrs. Lois Miller, Westwood, Mass.; Mrs. Caroline Nelson, Manassas. Va.: Mrs. Virginia Locke, North Reading, Mass.; Mrs. Phylis Dugal, Howland; and Paul Russell, Hampden.
Russell served on the Town Council several years, is a member of the local Rotary Club, and he and Mrs. Russell are members of the First Bapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
The Russells have not selected a location where they will live after returning from Florida but it will be in one of the New England States.
