Vernon Bondeson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Bondeson of Perham, has been promoted to the grade of Specialist Five (E-5). He has been serving with the U.S. Army since May, 1968, and was assigned to the 2nd. Logistical Command, Okinawa, in November, 1968. He holds the position of stock control accounting specialist and section chief of supply for Roll-on Roll-off Operations at Naha Military Port, Bondeson is a graduate of Washburn High School and U.S. Army Quartermaster School, Ft. Lee, Va. Prior to entering the army he was an associate of the J.C. Penny Co. in Caribou.
