Following graduation from Zion Bible Institute in East Providence, R.I.. in 1962 and North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn., in 1969, Rev. and Mrs. Asel assumed pastoral
duties in Richford, Vt. After serving this church for three years they accepted a call to the pastorate of the Newburyport Pentecoslal Assembly, in Newburyport, Mass., where they continued pastoral labors for a period of two and one half years.
While in Newburyport they also instructed a Faith School of Theology; which at the time was located at Old Orchard Beach. Resigning the Newburyport pastorate, the Asels worked with the Urban Ministries of Boston in the capacity of radio minister. Mrs. Asel comes from Barre, Mass., and Rev. Asel from Jarnestown N.Y. They have three children, Jonathan, 5, Bethany 4, and Michael, 2.

A program was presented with Osborn Gregg as master of ceremonies. Scripture was read by Rev. Read Blackstone, pastor of the Dunntown Advent Church, Wade; Rev. Austin Harris of Allagash gave the opening prayer. Stanley Howe gave the address of welcome and introduced the honored guests.
Two musical selections were sung by the church choir. Vocal solos were sung by Mrs. Lois Burden, Miss Amelia Doak and Mrs. Ruthada Campbell; vocal duets, Misses Rachael and Prudence Nickerson, and Mrs. Dorothy Sperry and Miss Anita Sperry. Accompanists were Mrs. Margaret Harris and Miss Joy Parker. Rev. Read Blackstone extended a welcome from the local
churches and the Ministerial Association. Remarks were made by Rev. Ronald Getchell, of the Pentecostal Church, Easton; and by Rev. Ralph Mugford, of the Pentecostal Church, Caribou. remarks were also made by Rev. and Mrs. Asel. The closing prayer was offered by Rev. Mugford.
Greetings were extended Rev. and Mrs. Asel in the receiving line at the back of the church.
A buffet lunch was served. Assisting were Mrs. Elwood Doak, Mrs. Osborn Gregg, Mrs. Murray Allen, Jr., Mrs. Lois Burden, Mrs. Lona Parker, and Mrs. Margaret Harris.
