Retires After 15 Years With Washburn Trust

The retirement of Levi L. Anderson, assistant vice president of the Washburn Trust Co., Washburn, has been announced by the president Laurel W. Thompson. Anderson has been affiliated with the bank since 1955 and has served as manager of its Ashland branch since 1961.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson, he was born in New Sweden, and graduated from Caribou High School. He was the first employed by the Aroostook Valley Railroad in New Sweden and Washburn. He later became associated with the C.F. Parsons Co. Anderson and his wife, the former Minnie Peterson of New Sweden, reside in Washburn and spend their summers at their Portage Lake cottage. They have one son, Ronald, an attorney in New York City.

The officers and employees of the Washburn Trust Co. recently honored the Andersons with a dinner party at the Hotel Caribou in observance of his retirement.
