Forbes Is Selected

WASHBURN -- Peter W. Forbes, a junior at Washburn District High School, has been selected as a participant in the Jackson Laboratory's Summer Program at Bar Harbor for precollege students.

The program, which is supported by the National Science Foundation, will be held June 17 to Aug. 16 [1973]. He will be sponsored by Dr. Terrie C. Beamer and Dr. David D. Myers and will be working on a project in the area of problems in animal health.

He is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, member and usher at the First Baptist Church, was councillor [spelling from newspaper] at Baptist Camp last summer and was selected for Boy's State Dirigo.

He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William Forbes of Washburn.
