Retiring Perham Teachers Honored

The two are retiring as teachers at the Perham Elementary School.

Mrs. Conroy taught in Perham 28 years. Mrs. Beveridge taught 11 years in Perham and 21 years in Woodland, New Sweden and Westmanland.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Vaughn 11 and David Tompkins planned the surprise party and Mrs. Vespa Johnson made and served the cake.

Two little red schoolhouses centered the refreshment table. Mrs. Cladys Clark and Mrs. Polly Vaughn poured.

The schoolroom was decorated with fresh flowers and with posters made by students at the school.

RETIRING -- Mrs. Ruth Conroy and Mrs. Helen Beveridge stand before a money tree they received at a party on their retirement from teaching in Perham schools. The two taught a total of 60 years.
