Plissey Reunion Draws Parts Of 21 Families

The Plissey family held their annual family reunion which was held Sunday, July 15 [1973], at the State Road Picnic Area, where a potluck dinner was served.

A short business meeting was held after the dinner with officers as follows elected: president, Carroll Plissey; vice presidents, David Tarr and Joel

Plissey; secretary, Mrs. Rodney Drake; treasurer, Mrs. Wes Dobson.

Mr. and Mrs. David Nichols were presented to the family for having the youngest child. Mrs. Lulu Barker was the oldest member present and the family with the most children present, Mrs. Charles Plissey. Ollie Barker of Bar Harbor was presented a gift for travelling the longest distance.

A social time followed the business meeting. A baseball game was played between fathers and sons.

Eighty-eight family members and three guests attended, the guests being Dorothy Veenaman and John Veenaman of Presque Isle and Todd Duncan of Washburn.

Family members were: Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brown, Mrs. Linnie Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. George Jordan and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Dobson and family; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Plissey, Mr. and Mrs. James Plissey, Mr. and Mrs. Verle Plissey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Plissey, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Drake and family, Mrs. Helen Easler, all from Washburn;

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lunney and family, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Boyne, Mr. and Mrs. Carmichael, Charles Carmichael, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Joe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rideout and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elvert Woodworth and family, all from Presque Isle;

Mr. and Mrs. Guy Woodworth of Mapleton; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Beaulier of Van Buren; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Shaw and family of Easton; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Barker of Ashland; Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Maskell of Presque Isle.
