 Spinning Jenny
 Shanghaied
 Mystery

My first band was in 2nd year high school. We called ourselves "Trial and Error". I came up with this name because of our Algebra subject. We played music from The Cult, The Clash, Modern English, etc. Mostly new wave and punk tunes. After a year, we found ourselves playing glam rock music - Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, etc.

I started playing professionally during college. I joined a band called Spinning Jenny. For trivial purposes, the name Spinning Jenny came from a great invention in the 1800s which eventually became the sewing machine (wow). We played grunge music from Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, etc. We played regularly at Cabooz, Club Dredd, and Weekends Live. My bandmates were Carlo Canson, Jody and Rexy Valencia, and Rusty Isip.

In 1994, I joined a band called Shanghaied. Shanghaied is another word for Kidnapped. Louis Ramirez, our vocalist thought of this name. Other members were Eddie Boy Zandueta, Paul Roque, and Darwin Eustacio. We played mostly Led Zepellin, U2, Police, Gin Blossoms, etc. It was like a classic rock/alternative type of thing. We came out with a single called "Batugan" which was part of a compilation album called "Mga Himig Natin - Pinoy Rock Revisited". Our regular gigs were at Mayrics, Weekends Live, Kalye, and Cabooz.

In 1997, I joined Mystery. Members were Paco Arespacochaga, Joseph Cruz, Jomar Cruz, and Mark Cruz. Obviously, all were relatives except me. We played original compositions as well as covers from Toad the Wet Sprocket, U2, Doobie Brothers, etc. We came out with an album called "Jigsaw" under Star Records. We played regularly at Hard Rock Cafe, Strumms, Newsbar Cafe, etc.
